Language Lab Assistant/Tutor Positions Available
MCC's English as a Second Language/Modern Languages and Culture Department is looking for students who are interested in working in its Language Lab.
This position has the following duties:
Assist in maintaining student files (attendance and class progress)
Assist students in lab procedures
Assist students in computer applications
Assist students in lab work
Maintain and clean lab equipment
Report any equipment malfunction in a timely and specific manner
Maintain lab room and equipment security
A familiarity with the ESL program at MCC is very helpful. Ability in a second language is not necessary, but would certainly be an asset.

A Special Section of SOC 122 in Spring 2013
SOC 122 -01(Social Institutions:Investigating Global Issues in Spring 2013) will focus on various cultural, political, economic, and religious issues from a global perspective, including the US-China relationship, the Arab Spring, and the impact of the US Presidential election on global political affairs.
A Special Section of SOC 122 in Spring 2013
This Spring's SOC 122-03: “Social Institutions: Investigating New Jersey Issues” will link its students with many of the interesting speakers and films presented and shown through the Democracy House Spring Speakers series. This course will fulfill the GE Social Science elective for all majors and the instructor will begin the class with a brief review of key sociological terms and research methods.
